Once you reach the hamlet of Narreyroux, walk through the hamlet and continue along the tarmac road, which turns into a track suitable for vehicles, until it ends. Park in the car park near a sheep pen.
(S/E) Cross the bridge then turn right. Follow the correct path to the next junction.
(1) Ignore the path branching off to the left and carry on straight ahead. The path climbs and crosses an avalanche control zone. You’ll reach another junction.
(2) Ignore the path branching off to the right towards the waterfall, and continue left along the path, which continues to climb. You will then pass through a larch woodland until you reach the next junction.
(3) Leave the path that climbs towards the Col du Bal and turn right towards the huts. Walk along level ground, crossing wooden footbridges, until you reach the huts.
Note: the hut on the right is the shepherd’s hut; the one reserved for walkers is the one on the left, sheltered against a rock.
(4) Return via the same route to the car park (S/E).
