Departure from the Vivonne tourist office.
(S/E) Take Avenue Pettonet towards the station, on the right-hand pavement. Turn left with the avenue and you will come to a roundabout.
(1) Turn right onto Avenue de Bellevue and follow it for about 600 metres.
(2) Turn right onto Rue de Chassais. When it turns left, leave it and follow the path on the right until the next crossroads.
(3) Then turn right. Follow the road to the small village of Danlot. Turn left onto Rue de Danlot and continue to the junction.
(4) Follow the road to the right. Caution: there is heavy traffic. Cross the Clain (river). Continue to a hairpin bend.
(5) At the end of the bend, take a path on the left and go down below the road. Follow this path along the Clain river and pass under a power line. Further on, the path moves away from the river and then turns right. Atthe first junction, at elevation 91, continue straight ahead and reach asecond junction.
(6) Take the path on the right. After a few metres, take a path on the left. Do not cross the stream. Keeping the stream on your right, head south-east until you reach the entrance to the small village of Jouarenne.
(7) When you reach the first houses, turn right onto Rue des Chenevières, then left onto Rue des Vergers. You will come to the D31, which you will follow to the left until you reach the crossroads.
(8) Then turn right onto the path (Rue des Noyers) that leads into the countryside (south-south-west). At the fork, follow the left-hand path and pass through a place called Les Chaîtres. At the next junction, turn right (south-west) and continue to a new crossroads under the power line.
(9) Take the yellow-markedPR® trail on the right. Cross the group of caves called Camp Alaric with a small pond opposite.
(10) Continue north on thePR® and join theGR®364at the next crossroads. Follow theGR® (red and white markings) to the left.
(11) Cross the Clouère (river) and then the hamlet of Roseau.
(12) Take the path on the right. Please note: the path is not along the woods as shown on the map, but 50 metres higher up. Stay on this path on the right bank of the Clain. You will arrive at the Source Marot opposite the Vivonne campsite, on the other side of the river.
(13) Turn right onto the small path. Take the footbridge. Walk up the meadow to the small bridge and cross the Clain. Turn left and walk up Chemin des Prairies to the roundabout to return to the starting point (S/E).
