Departure from the Chemin des Gours dirt car park.
(S/E) Head south and take Rue de l'Empenelle.
(1) Turn left towards Place du Calvaire.
(2) Turn left onto Rue de la Source and go down the steps. At the crossroads, take Chemin de la Croix Rouge on the right.
(3) Ignore the path on the left and continue straight ahead.
(4) Turn right onto the path: be careful not to go all the way to the road a little further down. Then stay on the path to the right (GR®6).
(5) About 40 metres further down, you can walk out onto a first viewpoint over the Pont Saint-Nicolas and the Gardon river before returning to the path.
(6) Continue to the right to begin the only "difficult" part of this route: a climb of about 2 km with a 100 m elevation gain. Once on flat ground, you will reach a fork in the road.
(7) Turn right towards Vic. Ignore a path on the left further on and you will come to another crossroads. Continue to the right, keep to the right after the cistern and follow Rue du Réservoir to Place de la Liberté.
(8) Go around the church and pass under the porch. Then return to Place du Calvaire and take the path in the opposite direction to return to the starting point (S/E).
