Park in the Manufacture Royale car park.
Follow the clearly marked orange/brown signs.
(S/E) Turn your back on the site and follow the road, running alongside the Coney.
(1) Cross the bridge over the river to reach the small road that runs between the Coney on your left and the Canal de l'Est on your right. Continue to lock 32.
(2) Continue along the canal for about 200 metres. Pass the access to the D434 on your left and continue along the towpath to the Pipée footbridge.
(3) Take the footbridge to cross the canal. Continue straight ahead on a wet path that has been badly damaged by forestry work (situation in summer 2025).
(4) At the top, at a junction with a wide path, turn sharply left and follow a discreet path (not shown on the map) that descends into the woods. Climb slightly, turning right, then left. Reach the water collection point at the foot of an antenna. Descend, ignoring a path coming from the right, then one from the left, and arrive at a T-junction.
(5) Turn right onto a small road. At the end, follow the Route des Tuileries to the left. After about 50 metres, continue straight ahead, still on the Route des Tuileries. Ignore a road coming from the right, turn left, and you will immediately reach another intersection.
(6) Follow Rue des Bannes to the right. After the last houses, continue along a path and go downhill. At the bottom, cross a stream.
(7) Immediately afterwards, go up to the right (north). At a fork located almost at the top of the hill, turn right. Walk north-northwest, on fairly flat ground. You will come to a small road; follow it to the right and you will immediately reach a T-junction.
(8) Then turn left. After about 100 metres, turn right. Follow a small road and pass a picnic area on your left.
(9) At the intersection, go straight ahead and cross the courtyard of the Cense Pharisien farm. Enter a wood and continue north, following the edge of the wood.
(10) Come out onto a wider path (la Tranchée des Nains) and follow it as it continues. Stay on the main path, which winds through the forest, and ignore any side paths.
(11) Join a forest road and follow it to the right until you reach a three-way junction.
(13) Take the road on the left, towards a place called Les Baraques.
(14) In the centre of the locality, at a fork, keep left. After about 50 metres, leave the road and take a path on the left. Walk alongside a stream, some distance away, on your left.
(14) You will come to a small road. Follow it to the left until you reach lock 32. Then cross the canal.
(2) Turn left and, following the same route as on the way there, but in the opposite direction, return to the Manufacture Royale car park (S/E).
