Start from the historic grounds of the Manufacture Royale de Bains. Free car park on the grounds.

(S/E) Take the access road to the Manufacture, then cross the wooden bridge over the River Coney.
(1) Continue between the Canal de l’Est and the River Coney until you reach a lock (No. 32) on the right.
(2) Cross the Canal de l’Est via Lock 32 and continue straight ahead until you reach a forest track on the right.
(3) Take this track and enter the forest (Chemin Forestier du Camp Suédois). At the hunters’ hut on your left, carry straight on and you will reach a fork in the road after a 90° left-hand bend. Hunting may take place on this stretch on Thursdays and Sundays.
(4) Carry on straight ahead, heading north, leave the forest, continue along the tarmac road and reach a road junction.
(5) Cross the D164 with care and continue along the D40 towards Hautmougey, until you reach thefirst junction in the village.
(6) Turn right and, at the cemetery, continue left onto the small road that climbs slightly.
(7) Before the farm on the plateau, turn right.
(8) Picnic table. Carry on straight ahead along the path that leads downhill.
(9) Cross the “Pont du Coney”, then, just after that, between the two bridges, head down to the left until you reach the “Voie Bleue” cycle path.
(10) Turn left and follow the canal southwards. Pass locks no. 29 and no. 30 and reach lock no. 31.
(11) Continue straight on, heading south, along the towpath that runs between the River Coney and the Canal de l’Est, and rejoin the route you took on the way there.
(1) Turn left and, following the route in the opposite direction to the outward journey, return to the grounds of the Manufacture Royale de Bains (S/E).
