From the D918, cross the Nivelle to enter the village of Ascain. In the village (before the church), turn left into the small street that runs between a restaurant and the back of the pelota court. Further on, at the crossroads, go straight ahead to pass between the school and another pelota court. A hundred metres further on, on the left, is a car park called "parking du fronton Chourio".
(S/E) Leave the car park and turn left to continue eastwards on the road that climbs slightly (yellow markings). Stay on the road, ignoring the paths on either side.
At the crossroads in Arraioa, cross the road and follow the yellow-marked stone path opposite. Cross a cattle grid and you will come to two streams, which you must not cross
(1) Take the path on the right that runs alongside the stream, staying as close to it as possible. Pass a sheepfold (Terminen Muga) and continue along the road for about 100 metres.
(2) Then take the path that climbs to the left along the Arraioko Erreka stream. Climb up the valley to a T-junction located shortly after the start of a path on the right.
(3) Turn left and follow the path marked by small posts topped with a pig's head. Take a sharp right turn along the path and you will reach another fork.
(4) Take the path that climbs to the right, then the first path on the left along the ridge to the summit of Zuhalmendi.
(5) Descend opposite towards the pigsty.
(6) At the corner of the pigsty, take the carriage road that descends to the left. Keep left at the fork and you will immediately come to a crossroads.
(7) Continue straight ahead and stay on the main path until you reach a beautiful barn (Martinhaurrenborda). Turn right onto a grassy path and continue for about 100 metres.
(8) Turn right again to climb towards the summit of Bizkarzun, following the yellow markings.
(9) At the summit, turn around.
(8) Continue along the path that descends opposite, makes a hairpin bend to the right and then joins the crossroads of the circular.
(1) Turn right and retrace your steps back to the car park (S/E).
