Meet at La Bourboule Coach Station (formerly the railway station) on Avenue des États-Unis.
(S/E) With your back to the station, head left and take the first right onto Boulevard des Vernières, which runs through the entire industrial estate.
(1) At the junction in front of the Auchan, continue through the industrial estate until you reach the roundabout at the Vernières Business Park, on the D130.
(2) Go round the roundabout (caution: traffic and no pedestrian crossing), continue into the Zone d’Activités 100 for 100 metres and turn right onto Chemin des Cascades to take a path on the left which crosses the Ruisseau de Cliergue and climbs straight up into the woods. Ignore the farm track branching off to the left.
(3) At the junction, turn right until you reach the road leading uphill to the left towards the village of Le Pregnoux. Take this road as it climbs.
(4) Turn right. Once you reach the village square at Le Pregnoux, head slightly downhill, then follow the path leading off to the left (ignore the stony track on the right).
(5) Go through the gate in the meadow, then the second one, making sure to close them properly, before heading down to the hamlet of Fenestre.
(6) Walk down and cross the village of Fenestre via the main street. Continue left along the “Chemin de Fenestre” until you reach the junction with the Route de Vendeix.
(7) Head down Chemin du Creux, then, after 50 metres, turn right into Parc Fenestre. Pass the park bar on your left, then cross the park to the right until you reach the bottom, and exit onto Avenue Agis Ledru, which you should follow down to the Tourist Office.
(8) Cross the Dordogne, walk down to Boulevard Clémenceau, and follow it to the right until you reach the roundabout.
(9) Go round the roundabout, then head up Boulevard des États-Unis on the opposite side until you reach the coach station (S/E).
