Park in the car park at Pailhe church.
(S/E) Follow the road for a few dozen metres and turn left to enter the village. Take thefirst road on the right and then thesecond on the left. Cross Rue du Thier and continue straight on to reach the edge of the Grand Bois de Tharoul.
(1) Take the path on the left at the edge of the woods.
Note here: on the left you can see the fields which, during the Second World War, served as a parachute drop zone for the Allies.
You will soon reach the monument paying tribute to the resistance fighters of the Maquis de Bagatelle.
(2) Continue along the edge of the woods, then turn right onto the small path that leads into the woods to discover the three graves of the Maquis fighters killed during the war.
(3) Return to the previous crossroads via the same route.
(2) Then turn right and continue along the path across the fields towards the woods. As soon as you reach the woods, turn right, follow the edge of the woods, turn left and enter the woods. You will then reach a T-junction in the hamlet of Les Malottes.
(4) Turn left at a right angle, then make a wide circular loop to the left. Stay on this path and exit the woods. At the road, turn right to reach the left bank of the Ruisseau de Pailhe. Continue on and, a few metres further on, you will reach a replica of the Grotto of Lourdes.
(5) Continue along Rue Saint-Donat to return to the crossroads by the church. Turn right to reach the church car park (S/E).
