Circular Marcelaines from Hermonville

This circular mainly follows paths through the Hermonville communal forest. In the first part, you will walk alongside a limestone outcrop from which the stones used to build historic monuments were extracted, then enjoy the deciduous woods at the bottom of Les Marcelaines, before coming out through the vineyards with a lovely view of Marzilly Castle.

A peaceful, pleasant and mostly shaded path.
As there are many junctions, not all of them are mentioned in the description, and using GPS guidance is almost essential.
Several sections are so narrow and overgrown that you wonder whether you’re on the right path (brambles, tree trunks, etc.). Fun for adventurers, but a bit unnerving for others.
I would have liked some panoramic views or vantage points high up, but I preferred to stay out of the heat.
