Circular route around the hamlets of Bréhand from the Écuries d’Ydill

This walk starts at the Écuries d’Ydill riding centre. This walk will immerse you in an area frequented only by farmers. The wildlife here is abundant, with deer, hares and other animals.
The route has been mapped out by the municipality of Bréhand with the help of local volunteers and in agreement with the landowners. You can park your car near the stables; sometimes the dogs (Raven and Ydill), who are extremely friendly, will come over to beg for a stroke. We ask that you show great respect for the areas you pass through

Description of the walk

Park in the car park of the Écuries d'Ydrill equestrian centre.

(S/E) Walk past the carriage storage shed, turn right onto the path and follow it for 650 m. You will reach the hamlet of Les Communs.

(1) Turn left and continue until you reach the hamlet of Le Refus.

(2) Then take the path on the left to reach the hamlet of Portes Cargouët.

(3) Turn left and continue, following the signposts which will lead you to a tree-lined path. Take a sharp right onto the road, following a path running parallel to the one taken on the way out, then turn left to reach the hamlet of La Vigne.

(4) Take the path on the left and walk alongside a pond; stay on this path until you reach a tarmac road.

(5) Turn right onto it to reach the hamlet of Le Flos.

(6) Head slightly left along the road and, heading north, you will reach the hamlet of La Petite Suaie.

(7) Turn left at a 90° angle, continue through fields and copses to reach the hamlet of La Croix d’Hya.

(8) Cross the D80, turn left onto the road, then pass through the hamlet of La Roche Marie Rondel and then that of Le Haut Coëtdiguen. Take the path on the left, continuing on to the rear of the Écuries d’Ydrill.

(9) Turn right, then left, and continue along the road for 350 m, then turn right onto the road to reach the entrance to the riding centre’s paddocks (S/E).
