Parking at the car park in Goury.
(S/E) Leave Goury by following the port along the small coastal road that leads to the hamlet of La Roche.
After a bend, at the first crossroads, continue straight ahead to climb up to the hamlet of La Valette.
(1) Follow the scenic road down to the hamlet of La Roche.
At the bottom of the hamlet, turn right onto Rue de la Roque du Câté and rejoin the road from Goury near a wash house.
(2) Turn left onto theGR®223, heading south, along the street that becomes a path. After a steep climb, the coastal path joins a road.
(3) Take it on the right, but theGR® immediately turns right again, following the road, slightly below the magnificent Baie d'Écalgrain.
(4) Join the road and, at the bend after thefirst car park, cross thesecond car park and the stream on the footbridge. TheGR® joins a private road which becomes a path again. Continue keeping to the right until you reach a path that branches off to the right.
(5) Take this path up to the promontory of the Côte Soufflée. Retrace your steps.
(5) Follow theGR® trail to the right (south). Gently climb up a small valley with the stream on your left. The trail then climbs more steeply. You will see the sea again and the trail that climbs gently up to the Nez des Voidries, offering a panoramic view of all the islands.
(6) Descend via the cliff path, then climb back up, first via a wooden staircase, then via a steep path. When you reach the railings, turn left and climb up to a promontory. Then descend slightly to the Nez de Jobourg site (ornithological site sign).
(7) This part of the trail from Nez des Voidries is quite difficult, with lots of ups and downs.
Reach the Bec de l'Âne with a view of the Nez de Jobourg and the Bréquets.
Continue along the trail, descend, cross a stream and climb up opposite, pass a chicane and reach a crossroads at Borne 55.
(8) Keep left, heading north-west, on a good grassy path that climbs gently away from the coast. After crossing a stream, the path becomes paved. Continue straight ahead (due north) until you reach the road (D202) at the corner of a crêperie.
(9) Follow this road to the right into the hamlet of Dannery. (Yellow signposting) until you reachthe first crossroads.
(10) At the crossroads, turn left onto the D401 towards Auderville. At the next fork, turn left, still towards Auderville. Continue straight ahead (west) and cross the hamlet of Mouchel to reach the hamlet of Samson.
(11) At the crossroads, take thesecond road on the right, Rue des Fontaines towards Le Bûlot. After about 50 metres, ignore the road to Le Bûlot on the left. At the next fork, turn right until you reach the large farm building on the right.
(12) At the fork, turn right and follow this large building. When you reach the Route d'Auderville, follow it to the left for about 100 m and take the path that climbs to the right before the bend.
At the junction with the road, drive past the hamlet of Merquetot for 200 m and continue straight ahead on a path where the road turns right at a 90° angle. From the hamlet, note the beautiful views of Alderney.
(13) Continue along this path for about 500 m, ignore the path on the right and, 350 m further on, take a smaller path on the left after the bend. A few hundred metres after reaching a crossroads, turn right towards the hamlet of Laye.
Halfway along, at the airfield, admire the sweeping views of Écalgrain.
(14) Take the small road on the left before the hamlet (dead end). Follow it for a short distance and turn left onto the second track on the moor. Stay on the heights until you reach a grassy path on the right.

Follow this beautiful panoramic path lined with gorse for about 700 m. Join a main road.
(15) Go down it on the left (beautiful view of Goury). After a short steep descent, join theGR® (tarmac path). Follow it to the right and return to the fork you came from.
(2) Cross the Hameau des Roches straight ahead at its lowest point, following the GR®. Walk along the gardens and low walls to the Goury car park (S/E).
