- From the campsite, we reach the village, which we cross to join the greenway towards Vera. We pass under the motorway and climb up to the left towards a farm, then cross the main road again, this time via a bridge. We join a cement track and follow it as far as possible.
- ( km 3.9 ) At the intersection, follow the track to the left, where the cement gives way to dirt.
- ( km 5.5 ) You can make a short detour to the right to enjoy the view of the ridge. Back on the trail, continue along the most obvious route to a large pass with hunting blinds for wood pigeons, renovated barns, and tables with barbecues. On this particular day, there were 4x4s parked on the track belonging to hunters and a hunt was signposted. It was taking place below the track, so there was no need to worry for those of us travelling higher up.
- ( km 17.6 ) A more discreet track takes you around the 492-metre altitude to a 454-metre pass. From there, heading north, you will reach a dilapidated refuge, then continue downhill on a much easier track. This section from the 454-metre pass and the track mentioned above is nothing like the rest of the circular in terms of difficulty. While the rest of the route can be easily covered with a good hybrid bike, this section is best suited to mountain bikes.
- ( km 20.1 ) You will find a cement track that will allow you to easily reach the village.
Circular from Sunbilla
Starting from the small village of Sunbilla in the Bidassoa valley south of Vera, this is a pretty, technically easy circular on beautiful tracks except for one short section. There is a small campsite on the heights above the village.
