Circular walk from Harveng

A walk from the picturesque village of Harveng, through fields and sunken lanes, with lovely views of the surrounding countryside. At point (5), however, you will need to walk along the edge of a field for 200 m; it appears the path has been partially ploughed.

Description of the walk

Park near the church, on Place d'Harveng.

(S/E) Facing the mural, turn right onto Route d’Harmignies until you reach a junction.

(1) Take the Chemin de Givry on the right and continue to the N 546.

(2) Cross the road and follow the path ahead of you up to the crossroads.

(3) Turn right onto the tarmac path and you’ll reach the main road.

(4) Cross it again and, when you see the old metal bridge, take the path on the left which crosses over the stream.

(5) As the path has almost disappeared, follow the edge of the field for 200 m, then rejoin the path you were following, which leads to Rue de la Roche. Then turn right onto Place d’Harveng and you’ll be back at the church (S/E).
