Ideal parking at the inter-municipal leisure area by the Chez Birot bridge.
(S/E) Walk up the slope of Route Célestin Lacoux for 100 m. Turn left to pass under the pine forest. Emerge into the clearing and cross the meadow towards the Romanesque church in sight.
(1) Walk past the church and turn right towards the cemetery, following it along. At the next crossroads, turn left towards Chez Jean Petit. Before reaching the hamlet, turn right onto a grassy path that runs alongside some copses.
(2) At the Chez Bahuet crossroads, turn left into the overgrown heathland and enter the woods. Then turn left and keep right at the next junction (elevation 158) towards the D76. Head towards the Croix de la Ferrière.
(3) Just before reaching the main road, turn right, then right again a few metres further on. Continue through the woods, keep left at the three-way junction and reach the slightly stony crossroads of the Chemin de Ventouse.
(4) Go straight on, passing two paths on the right in turn, and you’ll come out onto a dirt track.
(5) Turn right. Ignore the first path on the left and continue straight on until the next junction on the left.
(6) Turn left and enter the woods again. Pass a path on the left and head up towards the meadows to reach the next junction (beautiful walnut tree).
(7) Continue straight on to reach the hamlet of Le Roule. Carry on straight at the crossroads to head back down towards La Tiarde, a stream in the valley.
(8) At the bottom, turn right onto the grassy path alongside the tree-lined stream. Return to the recreation area
