(S/E) Head to the lake and walk around it until you reach the water treatment plant.
(1) Take Chemin de la Petite Cure on your left to La Fleurière.
(2) After passing the farm, turn right onto the path through the fields and walk for about one kilometre to Bouffay, then continue to Le Pinoux where you will find an old water mill.
(3) With Le Pinoux behind you, at the Ruisseau du Pinoux stream, turn right towards La Lisardière. Here you will find the oldest farm known in the archives of Chaudron-en-Mauges, built in the 13th century. Continue on your way to the hamlet of La Gaucherie, cross the farm on your right and head for the D17.
(4) Cross the D17 carefully, then continue straight ahead for 400 metres.
(5) Then turn right and continue for one kilometre until you reach the tarmac road. Continue straight ahead at the intersection.
(6) Continue along the Ruisseau du Grenet stream until you reach La Bourassière and Le Bois Pineau. Cross these and turn right onto Chemin de la Reculée.
(7) Turn right and make a detour at the Lavoir de la Rinière. This wash house is unusual in that it is raised, allowing people to do their laundry standing up, unlike many others where they had to kneel. It was rebuilt in 1930 on the foundations of an older wash house and was renovated in 2008. Continue along Chemin de la Reculée to the village of Saint-Quentin-en-Mauges.
(8) Turn right onto the path and continue for 350 metres. Turn left until you reach the D17, which you will follow for a few metres. Cross it and head for the water treatment plant.
(1) Leave the treatment plant on your right, reach the Saint-Quentin lake and return to the starting point (S/E).
