Head to the Saint-Vincent Chapel in the hamlet of the same name overlooking Saint-Laurent-d'Agny.
Park in the car park near the chapel and the orientation tables.
(S/E) Leave the car park and turn right onto the flat section of Montée de la Chapelle for 200 metres.
(1) At the crossroads, turn right onto Chemin de la Garde and continue for 200 metres.
(2) At the sign saying "Saint-Laurent-d'Agny, no motorcycles or cars", turn left onto the path leading to Bois Bouchat. At the exit of the hamlet of Bouchat, turn right onto the road towards the Cornavent farm.
(3) At the intersection of the Cornavent farm, the signpost is on the left-hand side of the road. Turn right onto the path between two hedges towards Rontalon and La Croix Caryé.
(4) At La Croix Caryé, cross the road and continue along the path that leads to the model aircraft site, towards Rontalon and La Grand' Planche. On the descent into the Bois de la Dame, at the fork, take the left-hand path and join the Ruisseau de Cartelier.
(5) At the signpost marked "La Grand' Planche alt. 397 m", follow the signs for Rontalon, cross the Cartelier stream and go up the path on the left. Take the second path on the right to reach the village of Rontalon. At the entrance to the village, turn right onto Route de Fondrieu, then left onto the D75 towards the centre.
(6) At the Chareilles signpost, turn right onto the lane leading to the hikers' car park. From the car park, go down Chemin des Gonnettes towards Le Roman. Cross the hamlet and continue along the path that climbs to Pin des Meules. Take the Rontalon botanical trail.
(7) At Pin des Meules, turn right onto the track towards Croix de Faroussa and Thurins. At Croix de Faroussa, cross the road and continue on theGR® towards Maison Familiale and Thurins.
(8) At the Maison Familiale, leave theGR® and turn right onto the road towards La Grande Côte.
(9) At La Grande Côte, turn left onto the road towards Bas Marjon. Cross the stream,
Cross the D75 and continue straight ahead on the small road that crosses the hamlet of Grandes Terres, turn right and go up the road to the next intersection.
(10) At the white cross junction, just before joining the D75, turn left towards Le Bas Marjon onto a small road that becomes a track before crossing the Ruisseau de Cartelier.
(11) When you reach the road, turn left onto the small road towards Les Voutes. At the signpost "Le Bas Marjon (alt. 435 m)", continue towards Haut Marjon until you reach the intersection after the reservoir.
(12) Turn right onto Chemin des Galotières. In the centre of the hamlet, at the Haut Marjon signpost, a stone column topped with a metal cross, continue towards Charezieux. At the cross after the farm, continue straight ahead. Ignore the path on your right.
(13) At the "Charezieux alt. 416 m" signpost, turn right towards Le Vernay. At the "Le Vernay alt. 413 m" signpost, follow the direction of La Garde. Descend into the Effeuilles valley.
(14) Cross the Ruisseau du Furon stream and climb back up onto the plateau. Ignore thefirst path on your right, then thesecond on your left, to reach a crossroads. Climb up to the right onto a path that turns into a small road.
(15) At the signpost marked "La Garde alt. 468 m", turn left towards La Chapelle Saint-Vincent. Climb the stairs to reach the chapel forecourt, then the orientation tables and the car park (S/E).
