To reach the start point by car: From Limoges, take the Voie de Liaison Sud towards Feytiat. At the first roundabout after the bridge over the Vienne, turn left (Rue de Nexon), then left again onto the Route de Condat-sur-Vienne (D11a). The car park entrance is on the right, just after you pass under the Voie de Liaison Sud.

(S/E) Leave the car park via the car exit and turn right onto the D11a, towards Condat-sur-Vienne, until you reach the first path leading down to the right. Turn right again to reach the River Vienne.
(1) The path turns right and follows the River Vienne along its left bank. Pass under a first road bridge, a railway bridge, then another road bridge; walk past the old porcelain factory until you reach the old Saint-Martial Bridge.
(2) Stay on the left bank of the Vienne by taking Allée Gabriel Ventejol, which runs alongside a small island. Take the first alley on the right, which leads to Rue d’Auzette.
(3) Cross it to take Rue Paul-Antoine Bonnaud, which runs alongside the Mas Rome park in the Auzette valley, then Rue Jules Sandeau, which turns right and leads back up to Rue de Babylone. Turn left onto Rue de Toulouse. Cross it to take a small alleyway slightly to the left.
(4) Turn into Impasse de Toulouse, which leads down to the park. Follow the path to Rue Commandant Félix; follow this to the right for a few dozen metres before taking the path on the left. In the park, walk alongside the Auzette without crossing it, until you reach a junction: take the path on the right which climbs towards the allotments. As you climb, take the path on the left which continues uphill to another junction. Turn left again and follow the path to the Route de Feytiat (D979).
(5) Cross the road, follow it to the right, then take the path on the left towards the sports grounds at the foot of the secondary school. Walk alongside the football pitch, cross the basketball court to rejoin the path along the Auzette. The path turns left and crosses the Auzette at the foot of the A20. Walk alongside the motorway as it climbs towards the tennis courts. Turn left to go round the John Lennon Cultural Centre and follow the road as it descends back towards the Route de Feytiat.
(6) Cross (at the pedestrian crossing) to take Allée Chantepie opposite. Leave this further on to take the path on the left which leads down into the park, towards the Auzette. Follow the right bank of the Auzette. Go through the tunnel. Shortly after the tunnel, follow the path on the left which crosses the Auzette and follows its left bank. Just before the park exit (children’s playground), cross the Auzette again to reach Rue d’Auzette, which you should take on the left. You will come to the junction with Rue d’Auzette, which you passed on the way there, after the bridge.
(3) Take the first alleyway on the right which leads down towards the Vienne. Turn right onto Quai d’Auzette, which follows the left bank of the Vienne, passes under the Pont Neuf (D941) and continues to the Pont Saint-Étienne.
(7) Cross this old bridge over the River Vienne. Turn left at the end of the bridge and, immediately afterwards, take the path on the left which leads down towards the River Vienne. Follow this path along the right bank of the River Vienne. After the Pont Neuf, continue along the path on the left to go round an old spinning mill.
(8) Turn right to join Rue de la Font Pinot on the left; follow this road until you reach Rue du Pont Saint-Martial. Turn left.
(9) Before the bridge, turn right onto Rue de la Filature, which continues as a path along the banks of the Vienne. Follow it, passing under the railway bridge and continuing until you reach the Georges Guigouin Bridge (southern link road). Take the second flight of steps leading up into the bridge structure on the downstream side. Cross this bridge over the Vienne to reach the car park on the right (S/E).
