Park in the unpaved car park at Chambon-sur-Lignon beach, which is freely accessible.
Please note: this car park is not recommended for motorhomes. You can park further up the road or in the Intermarché car park and walk to the start of the route.
(S/E) Set off to the right of the car park, ignoring the bridge, and take the path that runs alongside the Lignon. Further on, start the short climb through the woods which takes you onto the Chemin de Tata Zoé.
(1) Continue to the left and cross a field, keeping well to the left and staying on the path. You’ll come out onto Rue de la Grande Fontaine; continue along it to the bridge.
(2) Cross the bridge and take the Chemin des Sautières. Ignore the road on the left and continue to the three-way junction at the Vellavi Lodge.
(3) Keep left, taking the dead-end track. Once at the end, continue along Chemin du Bois Jean, which leads into the woods. Follow the main path, cross a field and reach a junction.
(4) Turn left onto Chemin des Chatoux and emerge at the top of Chambon-sur-Lignon beach: a lovely little viewpoint. Then, finish the walk by crossing the bridge and returning to the starting point at the car park (S/E).
