Park at the Carrefour Contact car park in Varetz.
(S/E) Leave the car park and cross at the pedestrian crossing; head left to the junction, then turn right to cross the village towards Saint-Viance. After crossing the small bridge over the Loyre, turn left towards Prach and you’ll come to a three-way junction.
(1) Turn right onto the Route de Prach (you’ll return via the road on the left). Pass through the hamlet and continue along the road.
(2) Carry on straight ahead, ignoring the road on the left which leads downhill. Further on, ignore the road leading down towards the Vézère and negotiate the bend to the left.
(3) Keep to the right, leaving the road on the left that leads to Aucher. You will reach the hamlet of l’Échamel.
(4) At the top, at the junction (with a ‘give way’ sign), turn left onto the D5E1.
(5) Turn left onto the Route des Bords de Loyre towards Aucher. Pass the access road to the hamlet on your left and carry on straight ahead.
(1) Follow the outward route back to the car park (S/E).
