Groléjac loop

After taking a quiet road and a forest path, you will admire the church, the castle and then the narrow streets of the old port. Following the Dordogne to the old railway bridge, the greenway takes you back to the starting point.

Description of the walk

Park in the car park at Groléjac Town Hall.

(S/E) From the town hall car park, cross at the pedestrian crossing, follow Route de la Dordogne for about ten metres and turn right onto Route de Milhac until you reach the first fork.

(1) Turn left towards Le Rouquet, leaving it on your right. Go straight up the path, heading north.

(2) Turn left onto the yellow-marked PR®20B trail to Lauvinerie.

(3) Follow the road as it turns sharply left, then turn right to reach the cemetery (cross it for safety) and continue on the D50.

(4) Cross it carefully towards the church of Groléjac. Turn left onto Route de l'Église, then turn right onto Chemin du Port and cross the main road. Continue straight ahead to reach the water sports centre.

Climb the steps (old railway bridge) and turn left to reach the greenway. Follow it to Route des Drouilles and continue on this road to Route de La Forêt.

(5) Turn left onto this road and follow it straight ahead until you reach the D704.

(6) Turn right, follow this road carefully and head to the car park at Groléjac Town Hall (S/E).
