The trail starts from the car park located on Impasse de l'Église, between the town hall and the church.
(S/E) When you leave the car park, turn left onto Avenue du Vieux Château. Take the first left onto Rue des Épinettes, then immediately right onto Rue des Closeaux until you reach the D170.
(1) Take this road on the left for a few dozen metres. Then turn right onto a path (trees on the right). Pass under the high-voltage power lines. At the crossroads under these lines, continue to the right before coming out onto a small road.
(2) Take this road to the right until you reach Flacourt. Ignore a turn-off to the right at the entrance to the village and continue to the stop sign at the crossroads at Place de la Mairie.
(3) Make a quick right/left turn to take Impasse de l'Église. Just after the church, take a look at the Domaine de Flacourt dovecote on your right. Retrace your steps to the previous crossroads.
(3) Turn right onto Rue de l'Auberge towards Mantes until you reach the village exit sign.
(4) Take the second path on your right perpendicular to the road. Further on, at the entrance to the woods, cross the Pont Bât Cheval bridge and go up opposite to reach a crossroads.
(5) Continue straight ahead into the woods. Shortly after leaving the forest, ignore a turn-off on the left.
(6) Then turn right onto a path through the fields. Walk past an observatory, then ignore a turning on the left and continue for about 100 metres.
(7) Just before a road, turn right onto Chemin du Bel Air, which is stony at first and then tarmac at the end. You will arrive at a junction with a small street.
(8) Cross it and continue along a path that joins Ru Morand and then runs more or less alongside it. After passing a house on your right, further on at a T-junction, turn left and continue to the next junction.
(9) Go up to the left on a hairpin bend, heading east. Ignore the side roads until you reach the D170.
(10) Cross it carefully and continue opposite into the forest, then along the edge. Keep going straight ahead, entering the forest again until you reach the next crossroads.
(11) Turn right. Continue south towards the high-voltage power lines until you reach a crossroads. Continue left into the woods. After about 150 metres, you will reach a crossroads.
(12) Turn right south and pass under one electricity pylon, then left of another to arrive shortly afterwards at a crossroads. Part of the path does not appear on the map but does exist.
(13) First turn right then left and continue through the woods, keeping to the same direction. Further on, at a T-junction, go up to the right. Ignore a path on the right and walk along a field. After a right-hand bend, you will come to a fork.
(14) Continue left (south-west) on a wide path that winds its way to a stabilised path.
(15) Continue left to the cemetery, then cross the road carefully to reach the next crossroads.
(16) Turn right and you will reach Avenue du Vieux Château. Continue straight ahead, ignore two streets on your left and you will soon reach the car park (S/E).
