Description of the walk

From Oloron-Sainte-Marie, head towards Spain on the N134 to the Somport Tunnel. Go through the tunnel and descend on the N330 to Castiello de Jaca. Once in Castiello de Jaca, turn left towards Villanovilla and park in the car park 50 m further on the left.

(S/E) Take the street opposite the car park and turn right to join the N330. Cross the road at the pedestrian crossing on the right, and retrace your steps a little to turn right onto the track parallel to the waterfall.

(1) At the sign, head towards "Ermita de San Bartolomé" following the track that leads to the Sierra de los Ángeles pass. Follow a series of hairpin bends to reach a viewpoint.

(2) Continue along the track to reach the Ermita de San Bartolomé, making a short round trip of about 50 metres.

(3) Return to the track to reach the pass on the Sierra de los Ángeles ridge (1,340 m).

(4) Take the ridge trail on the right.

(5) Turn right to go to Beldorero (1,271 m).

(6) Return to the track.

(5) Turn right to continue the descent and reach the Collada de la Sierra.

(7) Head right onto the path marked by the yellow sign "Castiello de Jaca - 3.2 km - GR®15". This leads to a path at the bottom of the descent.

(8) Turn right, staying on the GR®15, walk for about 200 m and then turn left. Join the Way of St James.

(9) Turn right and continue straight ahead.

(10) Pass in front of the Church of Saint Michael (Iglesia de San Miguel) and continue straight ahead on Calle Santiago.

(11) Pass the town hall on your left and stay on Calle Santiago until you reach the N330. Cross at the pedestrian crossing and head for the car park directly opposite (S/E).
