(S/E) From the car park, go up the main track at the bottom of the valley. Ignore the path on the right, which will be the return route. Shortly after passing the barrier, look out for a path on the left.
(1) Ford the stream and continue along this path, then climb up a good path above the track. At the first Y-junction, take the path on the right. Follow this path until you come to a path coming from the left (signpost).
(2) Take this path on the left (shorter alternative: see Practical Information).
This path continues along the Rec Oiseau valley, crossing a sometimes steep slope. Two narrow and sloping sections of the path require caution. Pass four small rocky hairpin bends (not shown on the IGN map). The path continues to climb steadily through the forest until it joins a forest track. You will reach the Justin Lodge (closed).
(3) From the lodge, head north on the track until you find a dirt track on the right.
(4) Take this path downhill heading north-west then west until you reach the signpost.
(5) Ignore the path that branches off to the right towards Belle Justine (which may allow for a quicker return) and stay on the path heading west. Ford a stream and continue on almost flat ground until you reach a crossroads.
(6) Leave the path towards Col de Barsac on the left and continue towards Pas de la Perdrix (note that Pas de la Perdrix is not in the right place on the Géoportail).
(7) At Pas de la Perdrix, leave the plateau and take a narrow path above the Ravin des Houlettes. Follow this path, which starts off as a balcony, cross a track and continue along the switchbacks.
(8) Return to the track, which forms large circular loops, and cross it twice. At the last junction, follow it to the left to reach the finish (S/E).
