Park in the Montcarra stadium car park.
(S/E) Walk along the bottom of the rugby field and take the path on the left towards the stud farm: Les Écuries de Montcarra. Go up to the right along the Chemin du Bidaud road, then turn left at the junction and cross the D143. On the other side of the road, you will see a fountain.
(1) At the fountain, take the path that climbs to the right. Join the Grand Champ D54 road, walk down it for 100 metres towards the village, cross it and take the left-hand carriageway towards the ridge with the high-voltage power line. Walk to the water tower.
(2) Turn right and follow the ridge under the high-voltage power line for 500 metres. One hundred metres after the first crossroads, leave the main track and take a small grassy path that turns 90 degrees to the left and descends towards a wood. After about 100 metres of descent through the grass, you will come to another path. Take it to the right for about 100 metres, then take the woodland path on the left, which is quite steep at the beginning. After 1 km, you will pass a small pond.
(3) Walk along the right-hand side of the pond and continue along the same path until you reach a place called Merlan, which you will cross.
(4) Before a large house with a hipped roof, turn right onto an uphill path: this is Impasse de Cassière, which may be damp. After 400 metres of climbing, you will come to a small road. Follow it for 400 metres and turn right to reach a three-way junction, where the road meets a path.
(5) Turn right onto the grassy path that continues uphill. After another 400 metres, this path joins a new road.
(6) Turn right and climb towards a house. 100 metres after this house, you will come to a path which you follow to the left until you reach a new carriageway.
(7) Take this road to the right for 350 metres and then leave it to take the flat path that branches off to the left at the entrance to the forest. Pass under the high-voltage power line that you left 5 km earlier. Descend towards Montcarra and arrive at the Chemin du Royolet crossroads.
(8) Turn left onto this path and continue along it until you reach Rue des Liobards.
(9) Turn right onto this street and continue to Grande Rue. Make a right/left zigzag, then continue along the grassy path that descends directly to the Étang de Gole reservoir.
(10) Cross the pond's dyke, turn right, cross the D54 and reach the stadium car park (S/E).
