Departure from Fouday, car park in front of the town hall near the Protestant church.

(S/E) With your back to the town hall, head right (north), pass in front of the church, leave the main road, turn right and then left, and follow the Sohlbach path.
At the end of the paved road, continue straight ahead on a wide path (ignore a trail on the right marked with a red circle).
After a steep slope, cross a forest path and continue straight ahead.
(1) Further up, cross a path and continue left uphill to reach a grassy plateau.
You will arrive in the village of Sohlbach via the cemetery and go up the main street.
(2) Above the last houses, continue straight ahead at the reservoir and keep to the right.
(3) Further up, at the large crossroads, turn right towards the Col de la Perheux.
At a three-way junction, keep right on a path lined with broom.
(4) You will arrive at the Col de la Perheux (there is no sign indicating this).
Continue straight ahead, passing to the left of a large tree, with a stone and bench on the right of the path, then immediately turn right towards Belmont.
(5) Stay on the lower track (marked on a stone on the ground), a small path running along the flat.
Further on, keep right on the flat (ignore a path branching off to the left).
Cross a stream, and the path turns left to climb towards two isolated houses (Solomont).
On the hill, ignore a path branching off to the right and continue along the path towards Belmont.
Arrive at Belmont via the cemetery.
Go straight ahead, passing the electrical transformer.

(6) At the church in Belmont, turn right towards Bellefosse.
Go down the main street and follow the signs for Le Trou.
After a log cabin, take the small road down to the right.
Further down, continue straight ahead (ignore the red sign on the right for Fouday).
When you cross a stream, the road turns right and passes in front of an isolated house (Le Trou).
(7) At the next intersection, go down towards a village visible opposite (Freudeneck).
Further down, cross the departmental road and continue straight ahead.
After a stream, the path climbs towards Bellefosse.
When you reach Bellefosse, continue along the main road, which turns left further down.
Continue along the main street (ignore the yellow cross signpost on the right).
Pass the Au ban de la Roche farmhouse and continue to the three-way junction.
(8) Go straight ahead (see sign for Haute Vallée de la Bruche).
(9) After the last houses, ignore the blue triangle sign on the right and continue a little further until you see the sign for Chemin de la Boucherie.
(10) In the bend that follows, turn right towards a hill.
At the top of La Boucherie, continue straight ahead (ignore the yellow ring signpost on the left).
On the descent, continue along the path, turning right.

(11) At the end of the descent, in a large bend, look for the blue triangle sign and head left onto flat ground as you enter the forest.
After a short steep climb, turn right and continue slightly downhill.
At a three-way junction, go straight ahead. Ignore another path on the right and continue straight ahead (pass a hunters' lookout tower).
(12) At the intersection with the Yellow Ring, turn right downhill.
When you reach the church in Blancherupt, turn right and go down Rue Principale.
(13) At the bottom of the village, turn left at an original wooden telephone box.
Cross a stream and turn right.
At a three-way junction, turn left uphill.
After the climb, at another three-way junction, keep right and descend slightly.
(14) When you reach a sharp bend, follow the road downhill to the right. After a right-hand bend, you will arrive at a riding centre.
(15) Take a path downhill to the left (ignore the direction of Fouday through the housing estate).
Arrive at Fouday and head towards the church visible opposite. (S/E)
