Circular starting from the old communal mill in Lomprez.

This long walk, which is mostly through forest for just over half of the route, starts behind the imposing church of Lomprez with its turrets. The old village mill is nearby. While the street-facing building and its dormer window (whose pulley has disappeared) are in good condition, the rear and the old wheel are in need of restoration. There are a few difficulties on this route: see the "description" box.

Description of the walk

(S/E) After two kilometres of countryside (uphill), the walk enters the forest and only leaves it again 4 kilometres further on, as it approaches the village of Fays-Famenne (2).
A chapel, a bell and a few hundred metres further on, the route enters the forest again for an obstacle course of paths rutted by logging or wild boars. Three more or less passable footbridges await you there! It is best to wear sturdy footwear if you are not confident between the tree trunks and the rope.
Once out of the woods shortly after km 13, the walk climbs a little and offers a magnificent panorama of the Famenne on the north-east side.
After passing through the village of Honnay (3), the route takes a country lane, climbs to the top of a forest and then returns to the countryside to the starting village.
