Start from the village of Lédas-et-Penthiès, after parking your car next to the church.
(S/E) With your back to the cemetery, turn right, walk past the church entrance and quickly turn right onto Route de Lédas, heading south-east towards the hamlet of La Peyrière.
(1) In the hamlet of La Peyrière, turn right onto the road, Chemin du Moulin. Initially tarmac-surfaced, this becomes a stony track. Continue, then turn right at the fork and begin the descent into the Cérou valley. On the hillside, two bends further on, you’ll come across the ruins of the farmhouse and the Moulin de Penthiès.
(2) Follow the recently upgraded path down to the banks of the stream, which is dry in summer, and cross it on the left bank. Start the climb and emerge between two fields. The path then leads to a chestnut grove, which it runs alongside, before joining the tarmac road, Chemin des Cabaziès.
(3) Turn right. Winding its way through the fields, this narrow road leads to a farm on the right.
(4) Pass the farm and leave the narrow road by turning right onto the path. Follow this path and, after about fifty metres, turn right again onto a path leading down into the valley. Once at the bottom, cross the Cérou using the stepping stones and follow the stream upstream.
(5) Among the broom, turn left at the junction with another path, continue uphill and emerge onto a sloping pasture. At the top of this, follow the path and, 800 m further on, reach the hamlet of Le Puech.
(6) On the tarmac road, Chemin du Puech-Long, continue to the right and walk the final kilometre to the village of Lédas-et-Penthiès (S/E).
