At Les Peyronies, 2.5 km from Naucelle-Gare towards Albi (RN88), turn off towards Saint-Just and park in the car park by the Salle des Fêtes.
(S/E) Turn left onto the D532 towards Castelpers for 400 m until you reach the Fédonie farm.
(1) Then turn left to head up towards the plateau. Pass the TV relay station, then turn right at the three-way junction to join the road leading to La Calmésie.
(2) Continue to the right for 2 km , enjoying beautiful views over the valleys and the Bas Ségala plateau. Ignore four paths on the left. After the hamlet of La Barterie, you’ll come across a footpath on the left.
(3) Take this path before turning left again about a hundred metres further on to climb towards the Roc de Miramont hill fort.
(4) Take in the sweeping panoramic views from the summit and return to the road.
(3) Continue to the left for about 100 metres.
(5) Take a sharp right-hand bend onto a grassy path, which winds along the hillside through oak and chestnut trees.
(6) Continue the descent towards Castelpers after taking the hairpin bend. You’ll come out onto the D10; follow it to the right for 150 metres until you reach the castle.
(7) At the castle and its beautiful grounds, cross the River Céor. After the bridge, turn left, then keep to the left to make a round trip to the Notre-Dame-du-Roc Chapel.
(8) Then return to the road and follow it to the left for 300 m.
(9) Cross the Giffou and turn immediately right onto a dirt track (not shown on maps). Pass by a barn, then follow the field and the river for about 500 m. Then enter the woods (follow the signposting carefully) and join a path that leads out into a pasture.
(10) Cross the pasture and a small stream, then continue along the path to the right which follows the Céor for 800 m. Cross the bridge on the right and turn left towards the car park (S/E).
but there is a pretty panoramic view at the top.
