At the entrance to Seignaux, park in the car park.
(S/E) Head south, continue along Rue du Pujol to the orientation table and admire the landscape.
(1) Turn back along Rue du Pujol and, at the fork, take Rue du Carie. Leave the path on the right at the hairpin bend and follow the road.
(2) Follow the road, which gradually turns into a forest track. Follow the yellow markings indicating "Cabane des Gardes". A sign indicates that the hut is a 2-hour walk away. You will arrive at Col de Belveze.
(3) When you leave the forest, turn left to admire the view from Roc du Taus.
(4) Turn around.
(3) Continue left on the road.
(5) Keep to the right to leave the road.
If you miss the turn-off, you can always go straight up.
From there, the path is no longer clearly visible. It is a field of ferns. The markings, indicated on a few stones on the ground, are difficult to see. Aim for the antenna, trying to climb up to gradually reach the top of the ridge.
(6) Go around the antenna and rejoin the gravel road. Stay on the ridge until you reach the large crossroads at Col du Traucadou.
(7) There are two options at this point.
- You can extend the hike by following the middle path that climbs uphill. The view further on is magnificent all the way to Bout de Touron (marked route).
- Or you can enter the forest and begin your return journey via the path furthest to the right.
(8) After following the path along the ridge, you will reach Bout de Touron, where a 360° panorama awaits you. Then turn back to the intersection.
(7) Enter the forest on the left and continue to the Cabane des Gardes.
(9) Enjoy the picnic tables and then continue along the path, following the yellow markings.
(9) After the forest path, turn left to return to the Seignaux car park (S/E).
