(S/E) From the car park, turn right and follow the markings (red ring on a white background) towards the church. Take the small path to the right of the church and descend towards the small road. Cross the Douce river via an old bridge, then follow the river on the left.
(1) After passing under a single-arch bridge, continue along it until it intersects with the D18. Follow it to the water treatment plant.
(2) Go up the path on the left, which crosses the D25. You will join the connecting route of the forts hike. Continue straight ahead, passing in front of the old fortifications, then slightly to the right and then to the left to pass in front of the cave shelter. You will arrive at a crossroads.
(3) Turn right onto a small tarmac road (change of markings) and follow the markings (blue ring on a white background) to reach Dorans.
Pass the playground, then continue straight ahead (not marked) and join Rue de la Charme, which is marked with a blue ring on a white background, then turn left.
Here, you can discover several fountains: the Abreuvoir fountain at the edge of the street, then the Charme fountain about fifty metres from the street just before another farm, and finally the Pâquis fountain.
You will arrive at the Maison du Temps Libre (a few metres away on the right, you can see the Converset fountain).
(4) Follow the tarmac road to the left (marked with a blue ring on a white background) to pass in front of a farm. At the intersection, turn left, and 600 metres further on, leave the marked path.
(5) Take a stone path on the right through the fields. At the next intersection, turn left and then left again a little further on.
(6) Join a small road (red ring on white background) on the right to pass in front of the chapel, follow the same markings. At the next intersection, leave the road and turn right, then left into the Fort du Bois d'Oye.
(7) Follow this stone path for 240m, then turn left, following the red rings to
climb up to a superb view (of the Vosges, Le Chasseral and the wind turbines).
Then turn left, following the markings, then right, and you will arrive at a small road (if you leave these markings, you can go directly to the car park
otherwise, turn right, following the red rings on a white background, either going there and back to the Savoureuse viaduct (view of Trévenans Hospital) or doing a circular route
Retrace your steps (red ring on a white background), turn right, descend towards one house and return to the car park (S/E).
