Access: From Clairvaux les Lacs, head towards Prénovel, continue for about 1 km and turn left, just opposite the tree-top adventure park (on the right) onto the first tarmac road.
After 600 m, you will arrive at a four-way crossroads on a gravel square (car park) which is the starting point.
(S/E) From the car park, go to the first crossroads and immediately turn right onto a white path that heads south-east, climbing gently but steadily. On your left, at the first intersection of the white path, you will see the Baraque des Gardes.
(1) Continue straight ahead until the next intersection.
(2) Turn left and pass the Baraque à Georges, located on the left.
You will have passed a barrier that prohibits motorised vehicles.
Continue straight ahead until you reach the Y-junction.
(3) Turn right. You are still on a forest road. Then take the main path on the left. Follow the edge of the rocky escarpment, heading north. Pink paint marks on the tree trunks will show you that you are on the right track.
(4) You will need to climb a rocky escarpment, which may require the use of your hands.
Walk a few hundred metres across the sharp limestone pavement to reach the first viewpoint overlooking the Drouvenant valley and the Cirque de la Frasnée. From here, you can see the villages of Crillat, La Frasnée and Saint-Maurice, as well as the viewpoint located 200 metres away on the right. Head towards it.
NB: stay close to the cliff to discover the viewpoint on your right, located on a slight promontory. You are now on aPR® marked in yellow.
(5) From this viewpoint, the view is even more beautiful as it stands out more from the rocky cliff. Continue along the path to the north-west, descending slightly. The trail corresponds to the GPS survey, but there are other nearby paths.
(6) Turn right at the first crossroads. The slope becomes steeper and you arrive at the last viewpoint (Le Creux des Feuillées).
(7) Here you can see the village of Cogna on your left. Retrace your steps slightly and turn right onto a path that descends for 200 metres. Then climb back up a fairly steep path.
(8) Turn left (yellowPR® cross) and head south for 800 metres until you reach a tarmac road, which you should take on the left. Pass a reservoir on your left and continue straight ahead until you reach a fork in the road.
(9) Turn right, then at the crossroads, go straight ahead to reach the junction and the (S/E).
