Start from the car park of the Bois de Castres Socio-Cultural Centre located near the Pont du Jumelage bridge over the Garonne, on the edge of the D626B, towards Lacaugne.
(S/E) Walk around the site following the path that runs alongside the D626B, then follow it anti-clockwise and return to the car park (you can also do this clockwise).
(S/E) Leave the car park and cross the Pont du Jumelage bridge over the Garonne. At the end of the bridge, turn left and cross the road towards the first building on the left. Take the stairs down in front of it. Cross the car park and follow the street to the junction with Rue des Bains on the right.
(1) Turn left onto the dead-end road and follow the dirt track along the Garonne on your left. Pass three of the shelters on display.
(2) At the end of this dirt track, continue along the tarmac road, keeping straight ahead, until you reach the junction in front of Saint-Laurent Church.
(3) Follow the tarmac road on the left (no entry) then quickly take the dirt track that goes down to the left.
(4) At the bottom of the slope, turn left to stay on the hill and continue straight ahead until you reach the bridge over the Garonne.
(5) At the D62, turn right and drive carefully along the plane trees. After the last house on the left (no. 62), take the dead-end road immediately after on the left and continue straight ahead.
(6) At the no entry sign, continue straight ahead, then turn right at Rue Louis Domé Jean. Pass in front of the Calandre residence (no. 31) and, at the corner, turn onto the small dirt track between the fence and the next house. At the bottom of this track, cross the stream and turn left. Continue straight ahead, following the stream. At the road, continue on the track opposite.
At the end, turn right and go up to the road.
(7) Cross the road and take the tarmac path on the left. Pass under a building, then continue between the gardens until you reach a crossroads. Turn right and, at the four-way junction, turn left onto the tarmac road. At the end of this road, continue along the path on the left until you reach the fork in the road from the outward journey.
(4) Go up the path that veers to the right and reach the church.
(3) Opposite the church, turn left onto Rue du Sculpteur Abbal, then turn right at the corner of Parc André Abbal (no entry). Pass the cemetery and at the end, turn left onto Rue Saint-Laurent and rejoin the route taken on the way there.
(1) Continue straight ahead, then cross the Pont du Jumelage bridge over the Garonne and head to the car park of the Centre Socio-Culturel du Bois de Castres (S/E).
