(D/) From Place Jean-Jaurès, at the foot of Concarneau's walled town, head south (along the marina).
(1) At the end of Quai Penneroff, turn west, passing between the Marinarium and the Youth Hostel. Follow the embankment to Boulevard Alfred Guillou. Take this boulevard, which takes you behind the Hôtel des Sables Blancs, named after the white sandy beach where it is located.
(2) Just after the car park next to the hotel, take theGR® trail, known as the Chemin des Douaniers. Follow this coastal path, which leads to a small, pleasant beach.
(3). Continue along the path that climbs up the coast.
(4) The path enters Anse de Saint-Jean, which joins a road at the end that you must follow for about 100 metres.
(5) Turn left to find yourself on the other side of the cove.
Follow the GR® markings to the headland.
(5) You will then enter Anse de Saint-Laurent. The path leads to a road.
(7) Follow it for 200 metres, then take the wooden staircase down to the path that crosses a small bridge.
(8) This leads to some charming little houses. Walk past them and follow the cove on the other side (there are squirrels here). The path comes out near a campsite with mobile homes.
.::9: Follow it, taking the road closest to the shore.
The path branches off to the left (GR® markings) and follows the cliff. You will then arrive at the beautiful Kerleven Beach
(10). After a well-deserved break (hopefully in the sunshine), retrace your steps (S/E).
Beautiful hike on the GR34. We set off from the white sand beach in rainy weather, but after 12 km we turned back because the rain was getting heavier and heavier, so we came back soaking wet, which was a shame.
