Around Roc de la Calme

Park in the car park just before the Calme car park.

(S) From the car park, head south to take the track parallel to the road and follow it continuously, ignoring the other paths you come across. Later, also ignore the route leading to the restaurant to stay on the main track and reach a crossroads.

(1) Follow the track to the left. A few dozen metres further on, the route branches off to the right. Either follow it or stay on the main track. (On the day of my hike, the snow cannons were in operation, so I chose to stay on the track). A little further along the track, the climb becomes a little steeper (the views behind you are exceptional). Finally, you will reach Roc de la Calme.

(2) Before continuing, head to the orientation table, a few metres south of the chairlift arrival point, to enjoy the magnificent 180° view. Return to the summit to take the path that descends to the west. Ignore the Bouillouses route and continue on the path. View of Lac des Bouillouses

The trail descends and joins a trail intersection.

(3) Ignore the route leading to the Refuge de la Calme and follow the trail on the left towards the Calme car park. The route is straight before descending steeply to the resort arrival point.

(4) Just before reaching the car park, take the path on the right. Further on, you will come to another trail junction. Ignore the trail opposite and take the one on the left to complete this pleasant hike (S/E).

Please note: access to the route is prohibited during the resort's opening period.

You can reach Lac des Bouillouses by taking the route suitable for Roc de la Calme.
