Park in the car park in front of the Salle Voirnot at 24 Rue de la Gare.
(S/E) Walk down Rue de la Gare for about ten metres, then turn into the alley on your right, which runs alongside the church.
At the crossroads, opposite the church entrance, take Rue de l'Église to reach Chemin du Breuil.
At the junction of the D90f and Chemin du Breuil, take Chemin de Bratte opposite you to Col de Vassuchamp, climbing uphill and admiring the landscape of the Seille valley behind you. Beautiful view of the village of Bratte.
(1) At the pass, take a path that climbs steeply to the right into the meadow and joins the forest (the path has been created by motorbikes passing through this area).
Continue along the path on your right that enters the forest and follow the main path. Do not leave the Haye forest when you come to a fork on your left. The path is pleasant along the ridge and then descends rapidly. Turn right after the descent and you will come to the power line.
(2) Continue along the path that runs alongside a meadow on your left (there is a high-voltage electricity pylon) to reach the D10.
(3) Cross the D10, take the path on the left and climb up into the forest. Then take the first path on your left and after a hundred metres, you will reach the edge of the forest.
(4) Turn right to walk along the edge of the forest. Enjoy the beautiful view of the Natagne valley and Mont Toulon.
Continue along this path, which turns left through the fields and joins the path below the hill.
(5) Turn right and continue straight on until you reach the road. Enjoy the beautiful view of the village of Sivry and the valley.
(6) At the crossroads (317 m), take the road that climbs to the right, then turn onto the first path on the right.
Continue straight ahead and admire the view of the Seille valley on your left. In good weather, you can see the city of Metz to the north and sometimes the white smoke plumes from the towers of the Cattenom nuclear power plant (80km as the crow flies).
At the first crossroads, continue straight ahead towards the forest, take a small path at the edge of the forest. This narrow path winds through the fir trees and joins the main path that leads to Mont Saint-Jean.
(7) Turn right onto the path that crosses Mont Saint-Jean to reach the south-eastern tip and the fields. At the edge of the forest, there is a beautiful view of the blue line of the Vosges mountains, with the Grand Couronné in the foreground.
(8) Continue straight ahead to descend towards the village of Moivrons. At the foot of the hill, at the first crossroads, turn left and then take the third path on the left, which passes through orchards and vineyards. You will arrive at the vineyard with the post.
(9) Continue along the path, which then turns right at a right angle to join the D70f. Then turn right to go up Rue de la Gare and return to the car park (S/E).
