Parking is available in a small shaded car park on the side of the D918, at the very beginning of Rue du Gerrit, but there are two other car parks in the village that are just as convenient.
(S/E) Turn right onto Rue du Gerrit and then immediately right onto Rue du Bourg, heading east.
(1) Cross the Pont Gros bridge over the Gave d'Azun river and stay on this path, which veers to the right. Continue along this path, which curves gently to the south, then south-west, until you reach the edge of the forest, which you approach via a slight incline.
After 500 metres, ignore the first hairpin bend on the left, then a second one on the left.
Continue climbing gently up the side of the massif, dominated in particular by the Pic de Pan and Pic Arrouy.
The path then runs under the power line.
(2) Leave a path on the right.
Climb up to the left via a hairpin bend and pass under the power line (elevation 897) heading north-east.
(3) Arrive at the intersection under the power line.
The path on the left leads back to the bridge used to cross the Gave d'Azun. The path on the right leads to Pic de Pan. Ignore these two paths and continue straight ahead. At the next fork, continue straight ahead through a forest of conifers and then beech trees, descending as you go.
(4) Just before reaching a carriage road, which you follow straight ahead, note the start of a penstock on the left that descends towards the power station.
After a left-hand bend and a right-hand bend, this path leads to a road which you take straight ahead.
(5) At the crossroads, about 600 metres further on, turn left towards Aucun.
After crossing the river and canal, drive past two campsites.
(6) After passing the campsite on the left and the flying wing landing area, find a path on the left, in the middle of the meadows (there are no others). Take it southwards and enjoy the magnificent view of the Gabizos.
(7) About 600m further on, at the crossroads, which leads to the village of Aucun in a few minutes on the right, go straight on via theGRP® Tour du Val d'Azun variant and reach the village of Marsous via the Chemin du Gerrit to return to the car park (S/E).
