Parking is available in one of the car parks near the post office.
(S/E) Take Rue du Rec de l'Aire, which follows the Étang de la Saline in a south-easterly direction.
(1) Turn left and take the paved road that crosses the Étang de la Saline on one side and the Étang du Doul on the other. When you reach the other bank, keep to the right on the paved road. Continue to the end of the first field.
(2) Turn left immediately after the hedge and take the small path leading up the hill. The path is very narrow and uneven with numerous ruts.
(3) Turn right and take the small path leading to another path parallel to the pond. Continue left for about 350 m.
(4) Turn right onto a barely visible path that descends to the wider path next to the Étang de Sigean and Bages.
It should be noted that the section between the start and this point is the most difficult part of the hike, with very narrow and uneven paths that are prone to slipping. However, in good weather, the view is beautiful.
Once on the path, the walk is much easier. Follow the lake. Near the edge, you will see nets, evidence of fishing activity. Halfway along, on a clear day, you can admire a magnificent view of the picturesque village of Bages.
(5) Leave the main path and take the path on the left that leads to the top of the peninsula. The slope is moderately steep. Halfway up, cross a short section of paved road and arrive at a crossroads.
(6) Leave the path on the left and continue climbing. At the top, you will be rewarded with a magnificent view of the Étang du Doul and the village of Peyriac-de-Mer. Then descend to the first houses. Take the departmental road for about 300 metres.
(7) Turn left and take the wooden footbridge over the Étang de la Saline, which leads to a boules court. Return to the car park at the starting point (S/E).
