Description of the walk

You can park in front of the school.

(S/E) Pass the town hall and the esplanade of the village hall. Continue north to cross Cadarcet. Cut across the hairpin bends of Rue Baicho (D211) by taking the passages between the houses, then continue along this street. Reach the last bend on the left of the D211.

(1) At this bend, turn right onto Rue du Ponsic to cut across another bend and continue to the first fork.

(2) Take the path on the right that descends into the undergrowth and turns at a right angle to join a road.

(3) Turn left onto the small road and continue until you reach a path on the right.

4) Take this path through the woods on the right and continue until you reach a crossroads.

(5) Turn right, follow the hazel trees, and you will come to a carriage road called Chemin du Château.

(6) Follow it to the right, pass the hamlet of Ponsou, then Las Feichos. "On this path, you will arrive at a hamlet where, depending on the season, you can pick cherries, plums or mirabelle plums." You will come out on Rue Biacho.

(7) Follow it to the left and, before a hairpin bend, turn right onto Rue de la Serre to reach the car park in front of the school (S/E).

Excellent hike in the heart of Cadarcet and its surroundings. We had several surprising encounters with our friends in nature (cows, foxes, birds of prey and amphibians). Easy access and a shaded route, perfect for hot weather! Impossible to get lost, the route is very well described and signposted. A memorable short hike for the whole family, to be repeated!

The route wasvery poorly signposted and we had to use GPS, which we don't have, as we are elderly and don't use GPS.
