Around Caudry

Park in the car park behind Caudry church.

(S/E) Turn right onto Rue Thiers, then left onto Rue Edmond Bricout and right onto Rue Locarno. Turn left onto Rue Auguste Marliot and right onto Avenue Jules Guesde.

(1) Turn left onto the Passage Niew footpath, cross Rue Charles Gusquières and Rue Alfred Musset. Continue along the footpath and turn left into the entrance to the leisure centre.

(2) In the leisure centre, turn left, go around the pond, then turn left twice. Follow the lane to the exit. Walk along the car park and continue on Rue de Cambrai.

(3) At the roundabout, cross and take the road opposite Rue des Frères Toffin. At the end, turn right onto Cité Eloir Château, then left onto Rue Henri Barbusse.

(4) At the traffic lights, turn right onto Rue de Ligny and continue along Chemin des Charbonniers, ignoring the path on the left.

(5) Cross the SNCF bridge, turn right, then left, and continue along Chemin des Charbonniers and Rue Eugène Fiéevt. Ignore the roads on the right and left.

(6) At the intersection, turn left onto Rue de la République and take the^second right onto Rue de Montigny. Stay on this street until you reach the D45 crossroads. Cross the pedestrian crossing with caution and continue straight ahead onto Rue Jean Jaurès.

(7) Take the^second street on the left, Rue de la Paix. At the chapel, continue straight ahead, cross Le Tronquoy and ignore the paths on the right and left.

(8) At the intersection with the D115, take the pedestrian crossing on the right to go opposite Rue du Crématorium. After the bridge, turn left around the roundabout. Walk to the next roundabout.

(9) Cross at the pedestrian crossing on your right and turn right onto Boulevard du 19 Mars 1962. On the left, go down an alley to reach Rue des Chênes, go straight ahead, take the pedestrian alley, ignore the street on the right and go around the water tower.

(10) At the end of the lane, turn right onto Rue Louise Michel, then left onto Rue des Saules. Before the "S", take the pedestrian lane on the right and turn left onto Rue des Frênes. At the intersection, turn right onto Rue du Maréchal De Lattre de Tassigny and left onto Rue Massenet. At the crossroads, continue straight ahead, crossing Rue Saint-Gall.

(11) Join the pedestrian lane, ignoring the lanes on the right and left. At the end of the lane, turn right and then left.

(12) At the park exit, turn left onto Rue Albert Thomas. At the crossroads, continue straight ahead and turn right onto Rue Albert Thomas. Take the^second left onto Rue Aristide Briand.

(13) At the roundabout, take the pedestrian crossing on your left and continue straight ahead to Place du Général De Gaulle. At the Town Hall, keep left on Rue Roger Salengro, and at the intersection, keep left. When you arrive in front of the Basilique Sainte-Maxellence, take the street on the left, Place de l'Église, and join the car park on your left. (S/E)

The route is easy but not signposted. The terrain is earth, grass, pebbles, cobblestones and tarmac. Wear suitable footwear.
