By car: take the D918 towards Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port.
Pass Louhossoa and Bidarray, then at the exit for Ossés, turn right towards Saint-Étienne-de-Baïgorry, crossing the Nive river.
four kilometres after the bridge, turn right towards Urdos. Continue along this road and after the Manehenea restaurant, turn left onto the narrow road towards the "chambres d'hôtes" (bed and breakfast).
Park in the small square in front of the church and the bastide, which serves as a lodge.
(S/E) On foot, head west on the path that passes to the right of the lodge, following the yellow markings.
after 100 metres, leave the path that descends to the right and stay on the same track that begins to climb.
Pass to the left of the Uxtolordoki hangar/sheepfold and continue climbing.
The track becomes shaded (oak, chestnut, beech and hazel trees) and passes a ruined barn.
(1) A few metres further on, at the three-way junction, continue straight ahead, ignoring the path that climbs to the left. About 50 m further on, you will come to asecond barn.
On the right, you will see the pointed summit of Huberleta.
Further on, wade across a small stream and continue for about 20 minutes.
(2) At another three-way junction, continue climbing to the right, ignoring the path that descends to the left.
A little over an hour after setting off, you will arrive at a breeze block barn, which is the highest point of the hike.
(3) Turn right as indicated by a sign, do not continue straight ahead towards Pic de Toutoulia. The path runs horizontally and then descends slightly towards the Col de Larrarté.
(4) From the pass, you can admire the cliffs of the Iparla ridges to the left (west) and the summit of Huberleta to the right (east) and further away, Jara and its antennae.
Continue on the same track, which becomes concrete as the slope steepens. You are surrounded by forest.
(5) At a hairpin bend on the left (elevation 433), leave the track and take a grassy path on the right.
Descend to the road, which you follow to the right for about 150 m until you reach Otsobia.
(6) At a bend to the left, a sign indicates that you should take the small stone/dirt path that descends to the right.
Further down, zigzag first to the right and then immediately to the left (yellow markings).
Continue along this same path, which is often very wet and sticks to your shoes.
You will arrive in the village after passing some pretty houses. The square is on the right (S/E).
