Park in the car park in the hamlet of Clédat.
(S/E) Follow the signs for Le Rocher and you will soon reach a crossroads.
(1) Take the path on the right that climbs up to Rocher aux Jonquilles (panoramic view of the Corrèze valley). Cross the rock, then turn right between the granite boulders and take the path that winds through a deciduous forest to the Bordes trail.
(2) Follow theGR®440(red and white markings) to the left and you will soon reach the Bordes stele.
(3) Continue straight ahead on theGR® for about 1.5km.
(4) At the intersection, turn right (let theGR® continue straight ahead). Cross the village of Marouby.
(5) Before leaving the village, take the path on the left that goes uphill. At the end, cross the D18 and follow the path opposite (not shown on the map) that runs alongside meadows. Come out onto the D119 and follow it to the left for 80m.
(6) Then turn right onto a path that climbs uphill. Pass close to a telecommunications relay station.
(7) At the crossroads, continue straight on to the Menhir du Pilard. Retrace your steps.
(7) Then turn right and follow the path towards Bonnefond. You will then come to the local road, which you should take on the right.
(8) Turn left and cross the village of Chadebec.
(9) At the fork, take the path on the left: this is theGR®440. Walk along the Chadebec pond and its mill.
(10) Come out onto the D157E2 and follow it to the left. Join the D18, following it to the left until you reach the church in Bonnefond.
(11) Opposite the church, take the D128 towards Pradines.
(12) Take a sharp left onto a path that climbs uphill. Join a small road, follow it to the right (GR® markings) and cross the hamlet of Laubary.
(13) At the hamlet of Les Plats, turn right.
(14) After about 400 metres, in a left-hand bend, leave the road and theGR® for a path on the right. Immediately cross the Pont des Plas bridge and continue along this path. Ford the Ruisseau de Mons stream and immediately turn left (south-west) to reach the Étang du Theil lake.
(15) Then take the dyke on the left and follow a track to a crossroads you took on the way there.
(1) Turn right to quickly return to the Clédat car park (S/E).
