Description of the walk

Park at Landrellec Harbour.

Red and whiteGR®®34markings

(S/E) With the ocean on your right, follow the access road to the car park and, when it makes a first turn to the left, continue along the coast on the coastal path. You will soon reach the access road to the campsite. Follow it straight ahead or take the beach. Pass the campsite and, at the end of the road, continue along the coastal path, which goes around a small cove. You will come to the D788.

(1) Carefully follow the road to the right for about 100 metres, then take a small road on the left, Chemin de Brénello. Immediately turn right onto the path. It is paved with tarmac near the houses. At the fork in the road, keep to the right. Further on, ignore a dead end on the right and you will come to a T-junction with Route Hent Toul Truez.

(2) Continue left, quickly reaching the end of the road and continuing right onto the path. Further on, you will find yourself back on tarmac and arrive at a road. Take a few steps to the right, then turn left onto a small road called Route Hent al Lann.

No markings

(3) At the crossroads, cross and continue straight ahead on the old Roman road, leaving theGR®®. The road becomes a carriageway. Then continue on a path. Further on, you will come to tarmac and arrive at a crossroads. Continue on the road opposite (direction Dolmen indicated by a brown road sign).

(4) About 150 m further on, you will see a dolmen in the field on the right (information sign). Don't just settle for this first megalith, the Kerguntuil Dolmen. Enter the field and immediately turn right, continuing to the hedge to discover the beautiful Kerguntuil covered passage (with a few simple engravings inside). Return to the road.

(4) Follow the road to the right, ignoring the side roads, until you reach a T-junction in a business park.

(5) Take a few steps to the right, then turn left onto a very small road. At the fork, ignore the access road to the houses on the right and, immediately after the bend in the road, take a path on the right. Ignore the paths on the left and, at the intersection with another path, turn right. You will come to a hamlet street (Poul Fich) and follow it to the left.

(6) At the crossroads with a busy road (D11, caution), take a small road opposite. At the T-junction, turn right and continue for about 50 m, then look out for a passage between two houses which quickly joins another street (Rue des Mouettes). Follow this street to the right. In the right-hand bend, take another passage on the left to quickly reach another street (Rue des Cormorans), which you should follow to the right. Further on, ignore a street on the right. At the crossroads, go straight ahead and you will soon reach another crossroads. Cross Rue de Poul Palud (D788) at the pedestrian crossing, continue along the cul-de-sac opposite which leads to the coast of Sainte-Anne Bay and rejoin theGR®®34.

Red and white markings forthe GR®®34 or beach without markings

(7) Continue along the coastal path. It leads to a beach. If the tide is too high, follow theGR®® markings which take you along the streets, staying as close as possible to the coast.
If the tide allows, follow the beach, as shown on this map, then go around the point to reach the next beach. Walk along it until you reach the access point on the right to Île Renote. (This hike does not go around the island, but you can find a description of the route here).

(8) Continue along the coastal path and theGR®® or on the beaches, as close as possible to the coast. Pass Coz Porz, continue to the access point at low tide to the small Île aux Lapins, and take a detour to explore it.

(9) Retrace your steps and continue on theGR®®34. Walk along Toull Bihan Beach.

(10) Continue around a small cove. Walk along the beaches rather than theGR®® where possible.

(11) After going around the cove, continue along the coast until you reach Île Jaouen at low tide. Take a detour to explore it.

(12) Return to theGR®® and continue along the coast to the Port de Landrellec car park (S/E).
