From Propriano, take the D121 towards Belvédère, Campomoro. The car park is on the right-hand side of the road in the last bend before Portigliolo, next to an advertising hoarding. From the car park, a path on the right also leads to the magnificent Portigliolo beach.
(S/E) Take the track that climbs to the left of a metal barrier, on the other side of the road (car wreck). The track, which was formerly passable by vehicle, is now heavily rutted and prevents any vehicle traffic. Looking up towards the south-east, you can see part of a house rising above the trees like a watchtower on the mountainside. This is the destination of the hike. The path climbs through the scrub until it reaches the plateau of an old quarry, which the path bypasses by turning right into a bush. You will arrive above the quarry via a small loop.
(1) Leave the path that continues along the corbelled section and take the trail that branches off to the right and climbs into the forest.
The well-marked trail climbs through a beautiful forest of holm oaks and, little by little, traces of old walls become more visible, until the path veers to the right and climbs up the hillside to arrive in front of the first house in the abandoned village.
Several houses can be visited, showcasing the architectural richness and quality of the buildings. However, take care with children as the ruins can be dangerous. Admire the extraordinary panorama over the Gulf of Valinco.
(2) After exploring the ruins, return by the same route, with the Valinco panorama as a backdrop. Return to the car park (S/E).
