The Sèvre stream around Longeron and Saint-Aubin-des-Ormeaux
This is not the Calvary route, but there are many calvaries along this route between the countryside and the riverbank. The route includes as many paths as possible and a few very peaceful minor roads when there is no other choice.
East of Tiffauges via Le Longeron
Starting from Tiffauges and its feudal castle ruins, we set off along the beautiful Sèvre stream to the south of Le Longeron. The return journey is initially along small roads and then along paths again.
From La Grossière to Tiffauges
Apart from the start on a small road, this short hike mainly follows both banks of the Sèvre Nantaise in a setting that I never tire of, whatever the season or time of day.
Circular from Boussay to Tiffauges
This circular route takes us from Boussay to Tiffauges, close to the beautiful Sèvre Nantaise valley, and returns via very peaceful country lanes.
Circular of the Sèvre Nantaise valley in Mortagne
This long circular route takes a full day to complete. It forms part of a network of routes that, through several circular loops of varying lengths, allows you to explore the magnificent Sèvre Nantaise valley between Clisson and Mortagne-sur-Sèvre. This section starts at the Moulin de la Roche in the commune of Tiffauges, continues to the foot of Mortagne and returns via different paths, whilst always favouring the banks of the Sèvre. Please note! The path passing through the point (19) has been impassable for at least a year (2025). To be continued...
From Saint-Crespin-sur-Moine to Monfaucon
An easy hike starting from Saint-Crespin-sur-Moine, which begins on the banks of the Moine and goes to Monfaucon, returning north via as many paths as possible.
From Plouaret to Lannion along the Léguer
The aim is to follow the course of the Saint-Éturien stream and then the Léguer river from Plouaret-Trégor station to Lannion station. Plan to return by train.
Circular from Saint-Aubin-des-Ormeaux to Mortagne-Sur-Sèvre
This hike begins with a series of small roads with no traffic and paths to Mortagne-Sur-Sèvre, then returns along the Sèvre river as much as possible, i.e. almost all the time, except at the end to return to the starting point.
L'Annerie (Ânerie) and the Moulin Rousselin
A beautiful hike with a few very small roads in the first third of the route, then only paths, particularly along the banks of the Sèvre. It is part of a series of loops that allow you to explore the banks of the Sèvre.
Circular Maisdon-sur-Sévre to Aigrefeuille
The section that follows the Maine valley is absolutely superb. The rest of the route consists of a few small roads, mostly paths, vineyards and woods.
Practical information: two variants are available, which, when combined, reduce the route from 21 km to approximately 16.5 km.
