- S/E : km 0 - alt. 37 m - Start near A811, Stirling FK8, UK
- 2 : km 0.09 - alt. 37 m - Turn right onto Main St/A811
- 3 : km 0.19 - alt. 39 m - Turn left and follow the path with the Buchlyvie Burn on your left
- 4 : km 0.41 - alt. 43 m - The path emerges onto Whiteley's Road. Cross this road and go straight on up a narrow passage to Culbowie Crescent.
- 5 : km 0.57 - alt. 51 m - In 100 m. turn right
- 6 : km 0.68 - alt. 49 m - Go straight on down a narrow passage to a path across the boggy terrain which leads to a car park
- 7 : km 0.71 - alt. 48 m - Cross the car park and follow the track round to its exit
- 8 : km 0.74 - alt. 46 m - Cross the Main Street and follow a very narrow path to the right of the Old Surgery, which leads to a car park. Cross this to a narrow gate in the corner.
- 9 : km 0.76 - alt. 45 m - Go through the gate and down some steps to Buchlyvie Park
- 10 : km 0.84 - alt. 40 m - Go straight on through the wildlife park to reach the school car park
- 11 : km 0.94 - alt. 39 m - Leave the car park by its main gate and cross Station Road to a waymarked path alongside the old church
- 12 : km 1.01 - alt. 39 m - Turn left and head down towards the burn. Follow the path with the burn on your left.
- 13 : km 1.08 - alt. 37 m - Cross the burn by the bridge and follow the burn on its opposite side to a rickety gate
- 14 : km 1.21 - alt. 33 m - Go straight on and through a pedestrian gate. Continue with the burn on your right
- 15 : km 1.35 - alt. 29 m - Cross back over the burn on a wide culvert and head for the gate in the left corner
- 16 : km 1.5 - alt. 27 m - Follow the path round the outside of the sewage works and then through a gate, turning right onto the approach road of the sewage works.
- 17 : km 1.74 - alt. 21 m - Turn left onto the Mye Road which goes through Wester Mye Farm and then through a gate onto a farm track
- 18 : km 2.5 - alt. 19 m - Join the tarmac road past Easter Mye
- 19 : km 2.89 - alt. 17 m - Turn left to pass in front of Gartentruach Farm
- 20 : km 3.01 - alt. 17 m - Go through the pedestrian gate onto the former Buchlyvie to Stirling railway line
- 21 : km 4.74 - alt. 29 m - Very overgrown, but follow the direction of the former railway line
- 22 : km 4.97 - alt. 30 m - Just after the gate you cross over Woodend Road. Go right and down to this road; turn right and go under the bridge and up to Station Road.
- 23 : km 5.16 - alt. 30 m - Turn left on Station Road and follow the sidewalk to the bridge
- 24 : km 5.3 - alt. 30 m - There is no sidewalk over the bridge, watch out for traffic. Continue up Station Road for 400 m. passing the school on your right
- 25 : km 5.93 - alt. 39 m - Turn left into Montgomery Place
- 26 : km 6.12 - alt. 37 m - Turn right through a narro passage to emerge onto the Main Steet.
- 27 : km 6.25 - alt. 38 m - Turn left and follow the road back to the lay-by
- S/E : km 6.46 - alt. 36 m
