Varazze walks

Circular route from the summit of Monte Beigua to Rifugio Prato Rotondo with panoramic views of the Ligurian coast in the heart of the Beigua Regional Nature Park, listed by UNESCO as the largest protected area in Liguria.

A walk starting and finishing at the Cascina del Vai agriturismo. It takes you around the Bric della Ressia and through the Calanchi della Ressia. There are numerous loamy rock formations and views across the entire region.

Old Genoa is a superb city that is an absolute must-see. It’s true that it’s easy to miss, as the motorway doesn’t pass through the city centre. However, if you’re on a cruise, the pier is located in the city centre, making it ideal for exploring on foot. You won’t regret the 8.5 km (minimum) walk, as this city is brimming with treasures of beauty.

The forts of Genoa are a series of military fortifications dating from different periods that the Republic of Genoa built to defend the urban territory of the Ligurian capital throughout its history. The construction projects were also resumed and used during the Napoleonic era, the Risorgimento and during the First and Second World Wars.This defensive system represents the longest city walls in Europe and the second longest in the world.

Walk along the left bank of Lago di Osiglia, an artificial lake created in the late 1930s and the largest lake in the province of Savona. Hike along a quiet, tarmac road to a circular bend in the lake.
