Park in the car park for walkers, south-west of the town centre, accessible via Avenue de Russie, then Rue de Sans-Souci; follow the signs for "Les poneys de Sans-Souci". In the car park, there is a Balirando sign describing the "Vallée de Sans-Souci" hike.

(S/E) Follow the direction indicated by the small bluePR®® sign and head into the valley, following the Ruisseau de Romeuf stream on your left. Continue straight ahead to the pony riding area. Ignore the footbridge and stay on the left bank.
(1) At the fork by the pond (see § Things to see), keep left. Further on, ignore the footbridge. At the intersection with a path coming from the right, continue straight ahead and ignore another path on the right. You will come to a footbridge (information sign).
(2) Cross it and leave the blue markings to turn right, in the direction of the Cascade de l'Écureuil indicated by a yellow sign. Cross a tributary stream on a footbridge, continue and arrive at the waterfall.
(3) Extend this round trip a little further by taking the footbridge and passing a stream, then continuing on a path that climbs with a stream on your right, which also offers a small waterfall a little further on. Continue until you reach the stream bed.
(4) The path continues along the stream bed, but for this hike, turn back and return to the Cascade de l'Écureuil.

(2) Continue straight ahead on the blue marked trail. This trail leaves the stream as it climbs and continues through the woods. Ignore a trail on the right and, further on, ignore the trail on the left that leads to a footbridge, then another trail on the left. You will come to a street in Rochepradière.
(5) Cross the street (Route de Manzat) and take Rue Traversière opposite, ignore a street on the right and take the second street. You will arrive at a beautiful circular fountain and follow the street on the left, Rue de la Fontaine. Go downhill, ignoring the side streets, cross a wider street (Route de Manzat) and continue opposite on Rue des Caires. Follow it downhill, winding your way to the car park (S/E).
