Trois-Ponts - Vielsalm

(S) With your back to the Trois-Ponts station, turn left. Pass the container park, leave the built-up area and take the path on the right (separating from the^GR®14). Enter the Salm Valley, known as Le Glain.

(1) At the fence, turn left and walk along the campsite. Despite the sign indicating a difficult passage, there is no problem. The campsite ends, continue along the path, pass under the railway line and continue along the Salm until you reach the road.

(2) Take the hairpin bend to the left and go uphill. The forest path turns sharply to the right; continue.

(3) At the fork, turn right. At the crossroads, ignore the two paths on your right and continue uphill. Follow a stream that joins the path at times until you reach the forest track.

(4) Keep to the right. Pass a cross near the stream and walk for about 600 m until you reach a path on your left.

(5) Go up to the left. Join a wider path and continue straight ahead until you reach a fork.

(6) Take the path on the left and keep left. At the top, where there is a cross, turn left onto the forest track. Ignore the path on the left (not shown on the maps) and keep right. Walk to the houses.

(7) Turn right. At the fork with a hunter's chair, continue left. Walk straight ahead for about 1.2 km, ignoring the paths and trails on either side, until you reach an intersection.

(8) Continue left. Leave the forest and walk along the meadows until you reach the road: you will see the valley on your right. At the road, turn right and go downhill to enter Spineux and arrive at the intersection with the fountain on your right.

(9) Turn right. Further down, leave the path on your right and descend to another road. Continue straight ahead on the path near the farm building, then rejoin the road and continue to the right. Continue descending.

(10) Leave the road on your left and go down to the N68. Cross with caution and continue straight ahead. Go over the bridge over La Salm and then the one over the railway line. Pass the monument at Rochelinval.

(11) After the road to a future housing development, and before the house, turn left onto the path. Take the path on the right after the building. Go up the path, which turns left and returns to a horizontal level. At the crossroads, continue straight ahead until you return to a forest path.

(12) Turn left. At the intersection, continue straight ahead on the path, which becomes a road at the^first house. At the road, turn left and cross the level crossing. At the N68, turn right, pass the church of Grand-Halleux and continue on the N68 until the intersection with a cross.

(13) Turn left towards Petit Thier and Mont le Soie. Leave the road on your right and continue uphill. In the bend, continue straight ahead. At the intersection (not on OSM), continue left. When you return to a path, continue left. At the road with the Croix Jean Giet, turn right and walk to the multiple intersection.

(14) Turn right and enter the Domaine du Monti game park. At the wide path, turn right and follow a property. The path becomes a road which you follow downhill to the T-junction. Turn left onto the N68.

(15) Turn right. Cross carefully to take the road on your left towards Petit Halleux. Pass over La Salm, cross the level crossing and, at the T-junction, turn left towards Becharprez. Walk along the road for just over 800 m until you reach a forest path on your left.

(16) Turn left onto the forest path, not towards the grey barrier. Follow the main path for about 900 m until you reach a fork (not on OSM).

(17) Turn left. At the large crossroads (not on OSM), continue straight ahead for 800 m until you reach a multiple junction.

(18) Take the path downhill on the left. When you return to another forest path, continue left. A path returns on your right; continue and stay on the main path until you reach the stream.

(19) Turn left and cross the stream via the footbridge. At the fork, keep to the left-hand path. When you return to a forest path, continue left. At the crossroads (not on OSM), go straight ahead. At the top, continue left and enter Rencheux. The road turns left; walk to the fork with a concrete cross.

(20) Keep right and then continue left. At the large crossroads, cross with caution and continue straight ahead on Rue du Vivier until the intersection with the dead-end road opposite.

No signposts

(21) Turn left towards the station and walk downhill for about 900 m. At the wooden fence on your left, look for the opening and take the path down to the platforms of Vielsalm station (E).
