Totem pole depicting the beavers of the former Rahier Castle

Totemus, the pioneer of the treasure hunt concept and creator of educational and fun routes in partnership with local tourism stakeholders, takes you from the old castle of Rahier on a journey of discovery through a typical village in the Liège Ardennes, with its meadows and forests. The beaver figurines will guide you along the route, teaching you the basics of traditional Walloon trades and language, as well as offering insights into the ecosystem of their habitat today.

Description of the walk

It is, of course, possible to complete this walk using nothing more than the route downloaded via the Visorando app, but using the Totemus mobile app and the roadbook – which is gradually revealed after each stage of the treasure hunt – enhances its informative and educational value (guidance, location and historical, geographical or ecological context through texts and photographs) for everyone, whilst incorporating a real appeal for children through its playful nature.
