Tré-le-Champ to Lac Blanc - Tour Mont Blanc

This 10th stage of the Tour Mont Blanc (TMB) normally runs along the high ground above the L'Arve valley to La Flègere but here's the description of the variant to Lac Blanc. A shorter stage but full of excitement and challenges. Let's do it!
The TMB is a classic long-distance footpath that goes around Mont Blanc, passing from France into Italy and through Switzerland before returning to France.

This walk is part of a multi-day hike: Tour Mont Blanc in 11 stages

Description of the walk

Start : Auberge la Boërne__ [https://www.la-boe...] in Tré-le-Champ.
Follow the TMB signage

(S) From the Auberge la Boërne, head up the track Chemin de Trélechamps as far as the main D-1506 Rte des Montets road (D1506) after 250m or so.

(1) Cross the road and pick up the ascending path next to a wooden cabin (toilets). This path soon enters the woods and climbs gently in a South-West direction towards Le Béchar (at 1,723m) and eventually reaches Aiguillette d'Argentiere (at 1,893m) after 2 Km.

(2) Continue climbing up the steep path, to reach the ladder section of the Tour du Mont Blanc (TMB). This can be challenging, particularly in bad weather but can also be thrilling. Having completed this section, the route reaches La Tête aux Vents where the path meets the route coming up on the right from Les Deviets.

(3) Here, the main route bears left towards La Flègere but our route continues straight on, heading West. As the name suggests, expect strong winds at La Tête aux Vents. The route now swings North to meet another path coming up on the right.

(4) Bear left, bordering a knoll that hides Lacs de Chéserys but can be seen further on when a path comes from the North to meet us. The route is almost concluded, so if you have time and the weather is pleasant, take a while to visit the four Lacs de Chéserys.

(5) From the junction of paths that might take you to visit the Lacs de Chéserys it's an easy climb to walk past the fifth Lacs de Chéserys (a popular place to camp out) and then onto Lac Blanc and the Refuge Lac Blanc https://refuge-lac-blanc.fr/ (E).
